HOW WE BEGAN 

Our story as a chapter began in October 2020 when our originating founder, Lindsay Cohen had a vision to share more resources with students about the ever-growing MSL field. With the help of co-founders Anna Dazy and Ryan Clemens in 2021, our chapter grew from 30 members to over 100 participating students and has continued to flourish under the leadership of each successive student executive board. 

The Key Opinion Leaders (The KOLS) blog grew from the UIC MSLS Chapter and is a place for anyone passionate about science, medicine, and healthcare to explore their writing talents. We aim to inspire young writers and educate the community about current events.
